ELECTION 2008
Many thanks to everyone who helped in the election. I garnered the national average for independent candidates. That is a good start. We will continue to push on, and will hold seminars in the North Vancouver Island area periodically.

ELECTION BRIBERY
bribery - “something given or promised in order to improperly influence a person's conduct or decision ”
Canadian federal parties are not required to register with the Chief Electoral Officer for an election. Registration is “voluntary”. If you do decide to “voluntarily” register, you are thereafter required to disclose political contributions and expenditures -- in return for several benefits. It's a quid pro quo system. The corollary of course is that in not registering, you receive no benefits, including the lack of your party name next to your name on the ballot, no financial kickbacks (up to 50% of election expenses paid), inability to issue tax receipts which will cut down on donations to your cause if your donors can't write it off, the post election forced remittance of surplus funds to the Receiver General, no forced prime broadcasting time in your favor whether paid or free, no list of electors for electoral districts from the Chief Electoral Officer, no protection for your name if another registered party wants to use it, and no ability stack the deck by supplying the returning officer with lists of suitable persons to act as election offices where the candidate finished 1st or 2nd in the previous election, nor can you use the word “independent” in your party name. This is entirely and by perfect definition a bribe by the Chief Electoral Officer that the Independent Party categorically rejects as unfair and immoral. The only good news is that our party name – Independent – is already protected and will appear on the ballot for nothing next to our candidates names.
ELECTION FAVORTISM
Many of the features of this election bribery system are designed to perpetuate the monopoly of the two or three party system that is currently in place. This allows these men and women and their Masters to more easily retain control of the government reins once they have them in their hands. For this reason, we are not registered as a party with Elections Canada nor will we ever be. Out of principle we do not need a kickback – a socialist handout -- from the citizens of Canada to perpetuate our political objectives, nor do we believe that any honest, free thinking, and liberty loving person can retain their moral sense if they knowingly vote to sustain such a system by voting for any candidate holding a registration with the Chief Electoral Officer. This applies to smaller parties who are not yet participating in the bribe, but who wish they were and are attempting to get in on the bribe by running more candidates in hopes of achieving the critical mass required to become a full participant in the electoral fraud we call the federal election.
ELECTION DONATIONS
We believe that only valid donors to any candidate must be from the living breathing electorate themselves – within their own ridings. The names and addresses of all political donors must be posted online for all to view within 24 hours of the donation. Cash donations would be prohibited, and there would be no limit to the amount that may be donated. Donations are not tax deductible to eliminate the use of political donations as a tax shelter. Transfer of excess monies from one electoral district to another is prohibited. There will be no need for bribery to help anyone to adhere to these rules. Anyone engaging in electoral fraud by violating any of these rules will be doing time in prison after being convicted by a jury of peers.
ELECTION DATE MANIPULATION
We believe elections should be held every four years on a fixed date, with a two year maximum term allowance, taking from the Prime Minister the ability to manipulate the people into voting at at time when it suits one party more than another.
